amy calls me a cheap date considering how i'm easily satisfied with things like iced-milo, coke, ribena, biscuit etc. i dun exactly like the term considering how cheap has a negative connotation when it comes to people. but other than that, cheap is good. especially when it comes to food, entertainment, holidays, leisure, clothes etc. just don't want to be described as cheap ya. but it's all these little delightful things that makes work such fun. like fortune telling or story telling with yanyan biscuits, reminiscing about the past while eating "flower" biscuits, alphabet biscuits and ear biscuits.

it's been a sluggish week and everyone seems to be coming to work late and leaving earlier. as interns, bobo and i being the artistic and creative ones got the priviledge to turn the LHK office and yf room to look more youthy and friendly. so we got to go down to ikea today to check out some stuff and get inspiration and ideas :)

having the priviledge to go down to ikea during office hours meant we were fortunate enough to also have lunch at ikea with those nice yummy swedish meatballs :) and since there were alot of other people who cannot come along with us, we kept them in mind while enjoying our meal. each mouth of meatball and sauce was said with "this is for _______"

there was alot of amusing things there like this superbly weird mask for kids which consisted of bee, bear, rabbit, dog, cat, princess, squid/octopus etc. we were tempted to buy one for ourselves cos it was so amusing we wanted to buy it to wear for work..just for the retardity of the whole thing.

during this trip to ikea we had loads of fun looking at very strange stuff that was really very amusing. for example...
funnily creative object NUMBER 1: handwarmer cushion

being a very professional photographer, i have to credit my beautiful model for her beautiful hands. haha! you see...it's a cushion. very happy and nice...the funny and amusing thing is the handwarmers. very good for office people who work in the "arctic region" of their office and have no control over the wintery bitter winds. bobo the model claims that it really keeps ur hands snug and warm. haha. cool stuff.

funnily creative object NUMBER 2: save food baby(or if you're super stingy/desperate, adults can use it too) bib
it isn't very obvious in the picture, but this baby bib has a pocket at the bottom. what it's really for i have no idea, but i think it's really to save food. I mean..the reason why babies use bibs is because they always eat very messily with food dropping all over the place. with the big worry about depleting resources and starving population, this bib can solve the problem of wasting food! how does it work? well..SIMPLE! while you feed the baby, any excess food that the baby fails to keep within its mouth will drop on the bib. and this is where the product design comes in. the smooth waterproof material enables all kinds of food, whether wet or saucy or sticky, it will slide down the smooth waterproof surface and collect at the pocket of the bib.

so , whatever food or goo collected at the bottom can always be rescooped to feed the kid, or to save it for the next meal :) GO EARTH SAVING!

we have such creative people :)

i CAUGHT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yep. typical Singaporean production with all your cliche jokes and what nots. Still, as much as we are sick of them, we still love them loads. the whole Singaporean thing is damn cheesy...but at the same time, it still has the effect of making us all swell with pride to make us swoosh the singaporean plastic flags in the air like mad little children.

hosann leong has damn nice legs. he looks damn good cross dressing in that hot cheongsam. he makes all girls envious with those long sleek legs man..and the way he dances in heels...goodness..i'm ashamed to call myself a girl seeing him strut his stuff.

oh well...nothing much happening in the office and i've been in a sluggish mood these days. You just wish to stay at home and do absolutely nothing.

apart from dim sum dollies the only other highlight of this week are...

I GOT A DATE!
yep! no joking! i'm not talking about some girl friend of mine or wadsoever. and i'm definitely not talking about red date or some ugly old dried up prune....my date is small...like me....black...like me....my date is soclosetome....he's practically like a tattoo on me :)

here's a picture of my date!
****DRUMROLL PLEASE****
as you call see....my date is also very blur. hahahaha..ok. enough of the lameness.
bobo dated me only because i asked her out of lameness. we were working on a card to thank the kids at church for making encouragement cards for the pastors and staff.
our masterpiece:
so can you tell how exciting my week has been?
on a sadder note...RESULTS ARE ANNOYINGLY STILL NOT OUT YET!!!!!! stupid...i've been hearing rumours of it being out on the 15th, the 22nd, and the 29th...but there's no news...so the next date would be 7th march. THIS IS ANNOYING ME. i rather have it just over and done with. haiz..

i always knew gossiping tore people and relationships down. but i never really understood it. until today it struck me.

i wasn't even bearing the brunt of the gossip. maybe it shouldn't even be considered gossip cos it was really true. just a matter of passing of information. i used to have a very good opinion of that person. friendly, caring, sensitive etc...but after what i was told of her...everytime i see her i think of it and everything changes..the whole impression, reading of body language, analysing her words etc. its really sad and scary how knowledge is dangerous....perhaps this is why they say innocence is bliss.

when you find out information about who is what and who's with who, you start becoming more sensitive to their movements and stuff that it all becomes weird. then you start wondering how come it's so obvious but yet you never noticed it. WHICH IS WHY I'M ALWAYS THE LAST PERSON TO FIND OUT ABOUT HOT NEWS AND ONLY FIND OUT WHEN PEOPLE START TALKING ABOUT THEM.

it's like part of me is kaypoh and want to find out more, but another part of me doesn't want to cos of the damage it does to me, mentally and emotionally. like the person you look up to isn't as amazing as you once taught him/her to be.

oh well. so now you know...pls dun tell me bad stuff about people.

i live by this - innocence is bliss.

Sarah and i went for some short acting classes last sunday held by Short + Sweet Theatre company. It was quite fun and i'm glad i signed up for the auditions cause. felt that Nicole Stinton is a way better teacher and much more informative teacher as compared to the other dude who taught the Acting workshop. Man..my first time in such acting class was rather nervewrecking. Having to make random friends with people, practice like an idiot and sometimes, you have to dare to go all out just to try. even if it means embarassing yourself.

Being my first time in such acting experiences, i obviously chickened out. It's not surprising considering I have "Wu" as a surname and a huge ass which can therefore be translated to "SS" (wishfully thinking that it REALLY stands for super small, but sadly means an extra large S it requires 2 "S"es and simultaneously meaning "super short") which ultimately..when put together, really ends up making me a WUSS. geeeeee....i wonder where all my guts went. Maybe the hospital removed it for the organ donation act..i really dunch noe!

but it's ok. even if i missed out on the acting practice for this i still have a whole 21 hrs with the wonderful all theatre knowing nicole stinton as my musical theatre teacher. I won't be able to escape then cos at the end of the 7 weeks we HAVE to put up a performance..GEEE...i sure hope i won't be regretting it. my guts suck.

The auditor is here to check out the church's account and it is a nerve wrecking process for the 2 admin accounts people in the office. now with all that non-charitable organisations accounts/money cheating sagas. our dear mr auditor man is really a skinny and shy man who keeps mainly to himself in a small room that you could probably reach both ends of the room just my stretching ur arms sideways starfish style. He's so sad and lonely that you just want to make friends with him. I wonder how things will be like if i actually try to talk to him.

let's see...the not-very-socially-adequate me goes up to mr auditor man (mam):
me: err..hello (smiles awkwardly)...errr...sweet/biscuit/whatever food i happen to have at that point of time?
mam:(looks up and returns back to work)...
me: (disappointed and spirit torn to shreds) ok. enjoy your work! :)
mam: (silence with crickets chirping)...

geee..don't quite like being that position. he shall thus be lonely and shy forever. My bro told me auditor's aren't meant to be friendly. i reckon that's a DAMN SAD job. it's so ANTISOCIAL and everyone either HATES you, or FEARS you. ah well..

bobo has been jobless for this whole week and she's like rotting in her cubicle so i happily throw my boring tasks to her to help me with. haha. and thus weI have completed all the stuff that my other boss gave me to last me the whole month : uh-oh....surf time! alternatively, we can spend some time playing chinese checkers or going to ikea to build a slack corner in my cubicle cos it's not as cluttered as hers. heehee..we can hide and slack under my table like..patrick star in spongebob does under his rock :) ..haha. patrick rocks. he's so DOHHHHHH :)

shit man. i'm a true bloo singaporean. i'm DAMN KIASU! shit man. i seriously think i'm the only person searching out uni application stuff like mad, going to forums, emailing questions, going down to the schools just to check out the facilities and atmosphere. i'm KIASU. i even know their timetable and the lecturers. goodness gracious.

i spent the whole of today walking from little india to bugis to city hall cos i needed to hand in the musical theatre course form and fees to lasalle and then got the application forms for Lasalle before heading down to NAFA to get it..which once again gave me a glimpse of the ACTUAL atmosphere of the school where all hte open house hype has died. i still like the atmosphere of the NAFA 3 campus. NAFA 1 is abit too CHEENA for my liking and lasalle looks like it's permanently on holiday. the campus is like QUIET and errr...sparsely populated. nonetheless..u get to see alot of arty farty people there which are quite scary to a degree...some very holey people (loads of piercings) and chimney tops (smokers)....so it's really abit of culture shock.

valentines day is coming..everywhere i go i see couples. goodness gracious. just the other day i had a strange yet very nice dream. I dreamt i met my future boyfriend. He's from my cell. just that i have completely no idea who he is cos i've never met him in my entire life but it was like the feeling was real and i still have that lovey dovey feeling in me. AHH..stupid hormones..DIEEEEE..I KILL YOU ALLLLLL. nonetheless..i believe if i ever get to meet him i'll know he's the one. HAHAHA. COOL MAN...it'll literally be a dream boyfriend. HAHAHAHAHA. Thank goodness he's not ugly...then again..who dreams about an ugly boyfriend??? LOL

ah wellz..for now..BOYCOTT V.DAY!!!

[edit] i just remembered i wanted to blog about my interesting bus experience today. ok. not that interesting, but quite amusing. this mad old man started ranting and raving aloud on the bus today cos it was super crowded but no one bothered to move to the back. sooo... he shouted aloud that the bus had ghosts in it cos there was such a huge void towards the back of the bus...and the he pushed and shoved his way through ranting along the way. i was really quite fascinated. here's a guy who dares to stand up for his own beliefs and here i am thinking what a mad old man he is...i need to learn from him. haha.

on a scarier note...i heard the As are coming out this friday! AIYYEEE die la. haven;t even done de silva's scrapbook yet..SHITAKE MUSHROOMS >.<

Sleepover + ARC gathering...
was pretty fun :) abit a failure considering it rained on our BBQ and we ended up "BBQ"ing in novita's kitchen over the stove using makeshift grills. We're amazing i tell u. The food tasted good still ok. plus. it was COOKED and not burnt. we should just boycott barbequing and just COOK over the stove. SERIOUSLY. it's alot safer and nicer to eat and FASTER too. cos idiots like us can't start a fire for nuts.

the seniors all pang seyed us so all that was there were juniors.who really were very noisy. all the j1s. tsk. so bitchy la. go to CJC in the end all come to the gathering talking about ugly girls with no fashion sense or brains and guys. goodness gracious. i finally understand why the ARC room was so noisy. I really wonder if they ever experience silence. (sleeping doesn't count)

anyway. it was a good time catching up, talking about teachers we thought were in relationships, inclusive of homosexuality, love triangles, and threesomes. we had a good laugh, going high and stuff. after the last of the juniors left we watched ellen and tyra while taking turns to bathe and only turned in at 5 plus am. Now that novita has her own hse and we finally have SO MUCH FREEDOM to do everything, it's really very dumb that we ended up sleeping every where in the hse except proper bedding facilities. In the past we used to sleep in the same room, and talk till we all fell asleep. with the whole house together we got so separated. ah wellz...but it doesn't realy matter la. i rather have freedom to do all sorts of stuff then be restricted just to sleep together.

we cooked breakfast and finished up all the leftover bbq food. the prawns was the best. AWESOME man. i could eat and eat and eat the prawns. YUMMMMM :)

Open hse - NAFA and Lasalle....
was quite a disappointment. NAFA has better showcase of works...even if they don't have a proper gallery. buttttttttt..from what i heard, NAFA is only good for fine arts (which isn't what i want to do...that;'s for boring farts.) while lasalle is better for graphics :( howsssss...

culture wise i didn't like either school. i think i'm going to DIE if i end up there. the only thing i enjoyed was the theatre faculty at NAFA. really enjoyed the people and the atmosphere there. felt like i was part of it. so it kinda got me more eager to try out theatre diploma.

Lasalle on the other hand was damn xian.......maybe it's cos i went there like super late, but still...so what if you have all that gallery space? i feel like i'm in a zoo la. open enclosure. its so dumb. isn't it distracting to have lessons in an enclosure like space? the irony is that you can only see the facilities from the outside. but when you venture into the building it's like a maze and you don't see the facilities close up cos all u see is a door and OPAQUE walls. -________-'''

thus i have decided that if i can make it to uni, i will do visual comm at NTU ADM and then do theatre and drama as a CCA, minor and Hall involvement. OTHERWISE..i'll just go to NAFA and do a diploma in theatre and then get a degree in Musical theatre at Lasalle. Thank goodness i took A levels cos it's a pre-requisite. PHEW. maybe i was meant to be there. hahaha..yeah right..we'll see how things go.

A levels result..
is rumoured to come out on the 15th or 22nd. on one hand i don't want it to come out but on the other hand i'd rather get it over and done with. YET...if it can even happen...i would rather it just get lost in space and never ever re-surface.

it's stupid how when you voice out ur fear and frustration people will obviously try to reassure you by saying that you WILL do well, but you OBVIOUSLY know they're just trying to be nice and comfort you. I MEAN.. what else can you say??????????

then there's also your fellow classmates who say that they're equally scared because they're going to fail/do badly. it's nice to know that you're not alone...BUT...hearing this coming from your SMART friends who ALWAYS do well...it's really very annoying and you feel like punching them in the face because they are the reason why i'm going to get pushed all the way to the bottom end of the bell curve. RAH.

i wish i never had to bother about all these shit.

ah wellz...i'm gonna sign up for a short term course at Lasalle just to see how musical theatre is like. 490 bucks to learn theatre hist, acting, singing and my gosh...dancing -___- hope its worth it. anyone wants to join me? application ends 15 Feb.

Meet blackie. My temporary entertainment in my office while my dear amy is away on leave.

shaun ong lent it to me to keep me company cos i said i was lonely. haha. how sweet of him.

let me tell you our (bobo, glory and blackie) story of the day....

blackie, as you can see, is a very unfriendly creature. He grins evilly all the time. even when his owner shaun is with him.

being the nice person as i always am, i tried to make friends with him and shook his hands very enthusiastically.

much to my shock and horror. His hand came out (and this is a secret that only bobo, blackie and i know about). I COULDN'T think of what i was going to say to shaun. i was so scared..in my head..i went "OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH..SHIT SHIT SHIT...AHHH..SHIT SHIT..OH MY GOSHHHHHHH" sounds so bimbo...but anyway..ya. i finally confessed to bobo and we both laughed like mad cos it was really half funny and half scary altogether. cos shaun is a really big big big guy. if i can take a picture together with him i'll show you how big he really is. it's like david vs goliath. he makes everything big look small. ( 0.0 )

so bobo and i ran around ver flustered. like chickens without our heads. so we went searching for sewing kit and THANK GOD He provides everything. HAHAHA. so ya. sewing kit and needles just appear magically in the office. hahahahaha. and thus we fixed his hand....rather...bobo did. cos i never ever sew. so..HAHA. THANK GOD FOR BOBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and thus..i am now afraid that it might just appear magically on my table every single day waiting for me just to haunt me..hahahahahhahaa
