i realised with a shock of horror and delight that i only have about a month left before i leave for a brand new life in the states. It's sad how it's only when you're about to leave that you start to notice the beauty of the things around you, friends and even Singapore.
As i laid in bed at chrystal's hse during the sleepover i couldn't help but wonder why i always left the church just when i started to get used to the people. I drifted in and out and in and out and now that i'm back after the merge in cell group and after the A level mugging and have finally gotten close to at least the girls in the cell grp i have to leave..again. i wish i didn't have to leave the cell group. We're just starting to have proper discussions and have deeper sharing among the girls and then i have to leave it all behind...AGAIN. like what the shit! grrr...
after last night's sleepover and sharings and today's dinner outing with the 2 brudders su and debby, i couldn't help but feel emo about the fact that it is inevitable that we are going to drift apart :( it was fun just bumming around in the room talking and laughing or just sitting down in a quiet corner of singapore at the grass patch of the national museum just eating crispy kremes from indonesia and listening to music off the handphone watching the clouds float by and simply talking rubbish and laughing at the weirdest stuff.
i love my close friends for just being who they are. the very fact that we click so well, that we can just bum around doing nothing and feel satisfied, talk about absolute rubbish and be the weirdest idiots doing the stupidest stuff and not worry about being judged cos we are all so confident and comfortable in our relationships with one another. I love them because of this. because i know i belong :) and for that it's making leaving Singapore so hard.
after jc and the whole break, i realised who i can remain friends for like forever and who were just passing friends. as debby reminded us about our time capsule thing we had in IJ, i couldn;t help but remember that one thing i wrote, was about still being close friends with the brudders even at age 25 or smth.
this post is dedicated to 2 grps of people:
the girls in my cell - for always being there for me to share my problems and for all the prayer and advice and support :)
more so to my brudders - whom have gone through thick and thin in arc and through all major exams. for simply always being there for a good laugh and for the plain knowledge and confidence that i can always count on your friendships :)
