hi love (esp to my pacey)

i'm here in savannah safe and sound and contrary to what my cell members think, savannah is not a desert. so much for the chao ta gingerbread man stuffed toy. haha. it's not the african savannah kind of savannah. rather. it's a slow moving place for retirees. LOL. yes. i'm surrounded with old people. kidding.

can't post any pictures yet cos i'm still using my mum's lousy laptop and i've yet to get mine and alot of stuff is still unpacked cos i'm not in the dorms yet. ah wells. anyhows, i've survived the horrible 28hr long flight journey and i'd think i lost quite a few kgs from drying up on the plane. the air on the plane is sooo dry. everytime i wake up, my skin is soooo tight. even the skin on my palm is so dry that it got stretched till my fortune telling lines have disappeared. it's terrible. who needs botox when you have plane rides?!? ahaha.

thanks aplenty to the many well wishers and the send off-ers. gonna miss all of you loads love. yes. even the boys. i'm so touched by your presence and your gifts. while reading all the letters and the gifts, i can't help but hold back my tears, but there are also some which brought alot of laughter :)

update on the first day of being here:
my mum being the holy one wanted to go to a church so we had to search for one. ah wells. did you know...on sunday..alot of the tv channels are showing worship services and sermons. it's quite amazing. it's like you want to stay in to watch tv and be lazy and not go to church and the moment you on ur tv it's a church service. there's no escaping! lol. anyhows. we wanted to go to this harvest church place and my mum was like...i hear a voice telling us to go to this church. BUT LO AND BEHOLD! when we got there...the church didn't exist -__-'' so much for a voice. anyhows. we ended up at christ church which is near my sch. it's probably some anglican church or smth with the whole mass and stuff that was so hard to follow. i wanted to run away from that church. but noooo....the people there are so welcoming! it's so scary. the people around us introduced us from one person to the other and soon, they were throwing namecards and contact numbers to me just in case i needed their help. they are like big mummies who want to adopt all orphans in the world under their care kind and bake cookies for them kind. haha. they are pretty nice as they got these 2 missionaries who were in singapore for 3 years to come to talk to us, followed by some architecture professor at SCAD who told me she's just next to my dorm so i could always go to her for help and stuff..and on and on and on. i probably met the entire church as they just crowded around my mum and i and welcomed us and said how amazing it was that we were here. it kinda makes you wonder whether they are sincere about meeting us :S

then after we escaped the sudden friend making session, we headed down to target to get all my dorm supplies which costs an amazing whopping 230 over USD. i never knew there were so many things to buy and now our boot is COMPLETELY FULL. ACK.

ah well...more settling of stuff today. CIAO. more updates later.

LoVE YOU BOBO!!!!!!!!!!
