The holidays started looking very bleak and boring with nothing much to do. or even if there was, nothing fun to do when you're all alone.

had to do groceries yesterday and hence I very excitedly trooped off to krogers with my little red wagon black trolley rolling on right behind my feet. I stepped into the store and took a deep breath in, feeling more alive then ever, feeling like a normal person with the freedom to move around :) i always thought that groceries was really easy. you just take a throw into the cart whatever you want. Now i realized it's not that easy with a wide array of the same products I had to make sure I compared prices and all first, taking into considerations I am only one person and not the same 6 people household that we used to shop for. thus my exciting grocery shopping trip turned into one with confusion and lots of frustrations. nonetheless, I found myself buying ALOT of stuff. :S i never knew just buying a few things here and there would amount to SO MUCH. unfortunately, without a car, I realized after purchasing everything that my lil trolley cart is not able to cart everything back. with a sense of horror, I found myself half dragging the full cart behind me and lugging a bag full of apple juice, milk, bread and eggs while the other cart contained all sorts of knick knacks of fresh produce, frozen foods and condiments. the seemingly short distance that i took when i walked over to kroger became a long ardous one that appeared to never end :( not to mention i became a walking circus as people stared in amazement and amusement i must add as this small lil asian girl lugs her groceries all the way from krogers similar to the horses around town straining as they pull the horse carriages around the cobblestoned paths of savannah.

i thus awakened this morning to find myself a very acheing, heavy shouldered person. :(

anyhows. more excitement last night as Ham and I met up with another friend of hers, Anna Dooley (YAY NEW FRIEND) and drove (YES DRIVE!! FINALLY ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY OUT OF DOWNTOWN) out to victory where we went to the cinemas to catch the 9.30pm UP show. that was FANTASTICMO! wonderful show even though I see no point in making in 3d. as in. you have to wear those special glasses to see it 3d. why can't they just make it a normal film like previous 3d animations??? grrr...anyhows. the storyline is uber cute and warming, as are all disney pixar animations. always with a moral behind and always making you feeling warm and fuzzy. great movie :) oh. and unlike the Singapore cinemas, it's free seating here. haha. go in grab whatever seat you want. and thus began by happy journey of the day :)

next thing we knew, we found ourselves gathered outside the cinema as fellow scad students started walking out and at the end, we found ourselves in a mini group talking and laughing. Finally met fellow Singaporeans Ben and Audrey for the first time in real life. now all i have left is 1 singaporean left to meet i believe. yayness :D :D made more new friends, vince and miguel, who were craving for krispy kremes and cheated our feelings by making us go down to the shop only to find that it was CLOSED. stupid koo koos. so off we went to 24 hrs krogers where we bought shady boxed krispy kremes and met a crackhead prostitute with two men (oh the wonders of savannah. gotta hate and love this interesting aspect of town). having no where else to go and have our krispy cremes, we headed down to my house since it was the only place that was already set up and had them marvel in jealousy and my newly beloved pad.

with warm krispy cremes in hand, we sat and talked and played scattergories. one game i definitely have to buy before i return home to singapore. it's an uber fun game that forces you to think. :D

new friends, new breath of life. fresh air.

i went to bed a happy person last night :)
