yay. got a new job assignment ushering at the trustees. hoho. more moolah rolling in. YIPPEE DEY DOOODAHHH!!!

got myself out of bed for church and I sure am glad that i forced myself to go. Latechurch was surprisingly crowded even though most of the scad population has gone. i believe it's something to do with the 7pm crowd since night service is cancelled. the crowd was way more ra-ra and it was definitely an AMAZING worship atmosphere :) not like the usual half dead non-morning scad student crowd at 11am services. LOL. it was a good sermon with a different speaker from the henderson campus and he was not only entertaining, but clearly passionate about what he was speaking about - sacrifice and surrender in discipleship and following Christ. it's a great pity the usual gang of koreans were not there.

anyhows. i was almost about to sadly retreat to a small little corner for a lonely lunch when aidan contacted me to have lunch at saigon. ordered a dish that looked like chicken rice but tasted nothing like chicken rice. but it was still a nice familiarity that got me excited until i placed it in my mouth even though i knew it wasn't going to taste like chicken rice. after all. it's just grilled chicken breast meat placed over a MOUNTAIN of steamed jasmine rice. ah well...better than nothing. yummy fried shallots...YUMMY :D

the two koreans eun sol and aidan abandoned me and left me with vietnam binh who dragged me to eat ice cream at leopard's. not ordering anything due to the ridiculous pricing, binh very generously surprised me with 2 scoops of ice cream so that we could share :) YAY! free ice-cream treat for the hot sunny summer day.

headed back to the apartment to nua away when aidan called to tell me he and eun sol was coming over to the apartment. next thing i knew we ended up in my room watching some korean romantic comedy after which both 2 korean jokers ended up asleep on my bed. I was thus unable to do my grocery shopping today -__-. now i have to wait until tomorrow. OH WELL.

headed down to mellow mushroom for pizza after they awoke and met up with another 2 koreans. thus began my journey to korea. throughout 98% of the time, i was left sitting there pretending to be engrossed in my own slice of pizza while they spoked, joked and laughed in korean. awesomeness! ah well. the price to pay for company. i don't know which is better. to be amidst a group that highlights u're differences or to be completely alone :S

hmm...anyhows. i managed to catch the tail end of the graduation ceremony which is always the most fun to hear the inspiring speeches and see the graduates celebrate with the toss of the cap and what nots. i was so happy that i almost cried and goosebumps popped all over me and down my spine. i seriously cannot imagine myself graduating soon even though i know that these years will definitely fly by like it did this quarter and before i know it, i'll be out and back home :S scariness. why? cos this only means it's time to get work, get married, have kids and have no life. sadness.

anyhows. was surfing design stuff when i saw this cool series of cinema posters in lego style. this was definitely my favourite because they altered the title too. hahaa.

oh all we art students. what do we do when we have free time?????
we design blog surf. :D

such is the life
